Philosophy

Nicole Bridger is a line of socially conscious clothing that's effortless, luxurious and makes people feel sexy and special in their every day.

Our philosophy is to Do what is right for the Earth, its People and Spirit.

To take care of the Earth we use sustainable fabrics that are from natural and renewable resources and are dyed with low impact dyes. We consider the impact that we have on the earth and do the best we can to minimize it.

For the People we use ethical manufacturing practices. The majority of our goods are manufactured locally in Vancouver and if we manufacture overseas, we use fair-trade factories.

Finally, for Spirit we sew into each piece of clothing our affirmation labels that say I AM LOVE. This is a reminder to the wearer to speak kindly to themself and to others and help spread positivity throughout their day.

We are creating an ethical lifestyle brand that also connects like minded people who want to promote positive change.

Biography

Nicole Bridger was born and raised in Vancouver, BC.

She obtained her BAA in fashion design from Ryerson University in Toronto ON.

She then went to London, UK to intern at Vivienne Westwood where she learned the art of sculpting fabric and saw that she could use her talent for fashion design as a vehicle for some of the changes she wanted to help create in the world.

Bridger came back to Vancouver looking to learn about business and paired up with the owner of Lululemon Athletica to co-create Oqoqo, a casual eco clothing line. This is where she learned how to start a clothing line from scratch, how to turn a dollar in the industry and how to market successfully.

She was then ready to put her design and business sides together to create her eponymous label of socially conscious contemporary women's wear.

Bridger was awarded Canada’s first Eco Designer of the Year in 2010 by FTA.
